Apple's New Multi-Touch Magic Trackpad

Media_http1bpblogspot_navah
Last week when Apple updated it's iMac line, they introduced the Magic Trackpad. It you have used the Multi-Touch Trackpad on a MacBook Pro then you'll be no stranger to the Magic Trackpad. It's an enlarged MacBook Pro Multi-Touch Trackpad and it's amazing. It brings the intuitive Multi-Touch gestures of the MacBook Pro to the desktop. Its has a glass surface and the wireless Magic Trackpad enables you to scroll smoothly up and down a page with inertial scrolling, pinch to zoom in and out, rotate an image with your fingertips and swipe three fingers to flip through a web pages or photos. The Magic Trackpad can be configured to support single button or two button commands and supports tap-to-click as well as a physical click. This is a tough one as I love my Magic Mouse on my iMac but I also love the Multi-Touch Trackpad on my MacBook Pro. I would have run out and bought a new Magic Mouse with all the features of the Magic TrackPad. If you have bought the Magic TrackPad let us know how you like it?

iLap MacBook Pro Laptop Stand

Media_http2bpblogspot_echov
I recently purchased a 13" iLap laptop stand by Rain Design as I usually work on my MacBook Pro while sitting in bed or on the couch.  It is just great and avoids you getting lap burn or having to place your MacBook Pro on a cushion or pillow which can actually overheat and damage your MacBook. The Apple MacBook Pro Manual actually warns you of the following, "Do not leave the bottom of your MacBook Pro in contact with your lap or any surface of your body for extended periods. Prolonged contact with your body could cause discomfort and potentially a burn".

iLap is a versatile laptop stand that keeps your laptop cool and at the same time, lets you work comfortably on your lap as well as at your desk. It is designed to match your MacBook Pro. iLap is made of aluminum with a sand-blasted and silver anodized finish. It comes in 12 inch, 13 inch widescreen, 14 inch, 15 inch, 15 inch widescreen and 17 inch widescreen.

iLap keeps your laptop cool by using a light weight aluminum as a cool sink. It allows your laptop to run more efficiently and last longer. It raises your laptop to keep your lap cool and is padded with cushions for extra comfort. iLap is ergonomically designed to suit both lap and desk work, so you stay cool even with prolonged use. It raises your laptop screen higher to reduce strain on your neck and shoulders protecting against Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. My MacBook Pro now stays cool when I am using it in bed. iLap is just so Cool!

Moshi Palmguard

Media_http4bpblogspot_wadjd
This is a review of the Moshi Palmguard which I picked up for my 13" Uni-Body MacBook Pro. When I saw the Moshi Palmgaurd in the store I did not hesitate to try it out as I have a Moshi iGlaze Cover for my iPhone which is sleek and fits perfectly over my iPhone. See my review of the Moshi iGlaze Cover for iPhone 3G/3Gs

The Moshi Palmguard protects your MacBook's palm-rest from unsightly wear and tear. It comes with a color-matched, form fitted and scratch resistant palmguard and includes a track pad film protector. According to Moshi, the Palmguard is designed for demanding users who really care about preserving the look of their MacBook. The Palmguard is a wear-resistant film that protects the MacBook's palm rest area against grease, scratches, smudges and color-fade that accumulate over time.

I have to say the form fitting of the Moshi Palmguard was precise and matched the edges of my 13" MacBook pro perfectly. As for the color matching that too was matched perfectly. After putting on the Moshi Palmguard I could hardly tell it was on my Macbook except for the scratch resistant surface and the tiny Moshi logo on the bottom right hand corner of the palmguard protector. I think the Moshi Palmguard is money well spent as I have tried other products and the best thing about the Moshi Palmguard is that you really cannot tell it's covering the palm-rest of your MacBook. If you have one of the new Uni-Body MacBook Pro's then I think this is a required protector.
